Use a static homepage
The homepage sections appear when your homepage is a page rather than your latest posts.
- Create a page called Home (it can be empty).
- Go to Settings › Reading.
- Choose A static page and pick Home as the homepage.
Anything you write in the Home page itself appears in the middle of the sections.
Edit the sections
Go to Appearance › Customize › Front page sections. Each section can be switched on or off:
- Hero: background image, title, text and two buttons
- Features: three short selling points with icons
- Destinations and Tours: featured items first, then the most recent
- Testimonials: up to three reviews (unlimited with Pro)
- Latest posts from your blog
- Call to action: a closing message with a button
Other Customizer settings
- Site Identity: logo, site title and icon
- Colors: primary and accent color
- Header button: the button at the end of the menu; leave the link empty to hide it
- Contact details: phone, email, address and opening hours, shown in the footer and next to tours
- Footer: about text and copyright
Set up your menus in Appearance › Menus. Travelight has a primary menu, a footer menu and a social links menu; social links get the right icon automatically.
